Tilly’s Progress

While we know the importance of setting goals, we are careful to not allow attained goals to become limits. When Tilly reaches a goal we’ve set for her, we check it off and raise the bar. There are no limits for Tilly.
Just over a year ago, Tilly’s abilities were fairly limited. This is heartbreaking for us to watch as she is so desperate to walk and talk and just play like all the other children her age.
A year ago Matilda’s movement was rigid, she had no trunk control, constantly had fisted hands and had trouble grabbing things. She couldn’t sit up, or reach for a toy. However with lots of Physio treatment from specialists we have seen some progress.
Matilda is a determined little soul and puts all her effort into the things she is capable of. She knows what to do and how to do it but her body just gets in the way.
We want to try and do as much for Matilda as we can. We are aware that early intervention equals greater outcomes in the future. So the endless travel, time spent in waiting rooms, treatments, physiotherapy and speaking to specialists are well worth it for us; especially when we see improvements in our little girl.
